For OC Executive Leaders
Anchor Purpose
Elevate Authenticity
Deepen Trust
We have entered a new world, where authenticity and purpose are required to build credibility and trust. These things, more than anything else, help to guide your audiences to action.
How you tell your story can change your life and your community. And when you tell it with others, it can change the world.
But this is not only about the story you tell. It's about the story you live.
As a result of this cohort, you will grow into a a better speaker and storyteller. You will be more ready to inspire through your mission and to empower your teams with clarity. And you will be a better thought leader in your industry, as you inspire your audiences near and far.
Drawn from Jay Golden's 15 years of thought leadership, writings and storytelling coaching,
this course is for C-suite change-makers in Orange County that are looking to rise to the next level in their communications and leadership.
This course will also help you:
-
Build a daily story gathering practice
-
Shape your long-held insights
-
Feel more clarity and power on the big and small stage
-
Show up on social media with purpose and power
-
Build connections to other leads as you support each other
-
Live the story you wish to see in the world.
The Keys You'll Develop:
1
An Examined Life
Develop tools and techniques to gather gems of insight from your journey that inform who you are and why your work matters. Begin a process that will last through the course and further to find new meaning in the acts and experiences you've taken for granted.
2
The Seasons of Story
Story is the human way of reflecting change in the natural world. We'll lean into story framing techniques that help you more naturally find, shape and share stories. We'll discover that "What goes down, must come up," and look around to improve impact and memorability in the various ways we tell stories today.
3
Changing the Dream
Through stories old and new, we'll dive into how we frame change in our world. We'll look at the essential dreams you've catalyzed and the ones you've left behind, and we'll consider the ones you're working towards now. This will give your purpose renewed direction, and your renewed stories greater power.
4
The Constellation Equation
Like travelers, we go through our lives, gathering insights and objects, taking what we feel is needed, and leaving behind what we can't carry. But when it comes to insights, we often leave behind important things because we don't know how they fit. In this session, we'll look at the gems we've gathered, and the ones we've left behind that might serve us today to fill in our greater constellation and provide a new path forward.
5
Navigating Intent
Purpose comes from the old French proposer, to propose. It is very much about intent and how you navigate, on a daily basis, towards your most true accomplishments. Using the story tools we've developed, we'll bend time and step into a future moment when your current goals have been realized, and tell the story from this future place.
6
The Metaphor Bridge
Metaphor comes from the word metapherien, 'to carry over.' We'll explore thought leadership framing for keynotes, podcasts, and interviews using a metaphor-building practice that will help you more easily shape your stories and help audience members follow your lead into a new world.
